Title IX: Ensuring Gender Equity


The Springfield College Interim Sexual and Gender-based Misconduct Policy details the College’s procedures and practices in ensuring that students and employees are protected against unlawful acts of sexual violence, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and other forms of gender-based discrimination.

Springfield College, in compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex against students and employees. Read more in the Springfield College Title IX Notice of Non-Discrimination.

Springfield College does not discriminate against pregnant or parenting students on the basis of pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, or related conditions, including recovery. Students at Springfield College have the right to take medically necessary leave and to be free of harassment, intimidation, or other discrimination because of pregnancy-related conditions and have the right to return to the same academic and co-curricular standing following a leave for these purposes. As required by federal law, each year Springfield College prepares an annual Security and Fire Safety Report, commonly referred to as the Clery Report.
